Anaerobic LLC is committed to making anaerobic-coffees.com accessible to as many people as possible, including those who use assistive technologies. This statement describes our approach, the standards we aim for, and how to report accessibility issues.
01. Our commitment
We believe specialty coffee should be accessible to everyone, and that includes how we sell and educate. We design and develop our website with accessibility in mind and continuously work to improve the experience for users of assistive technologies.
02. Standards we target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
We are not currently certified by a third party. Accessibility is a continuing process, not a one-time milestone.
03. Features in place
- Semantic HTML markup throughout.
- ARIA labels on interactive elements where needed.
- Visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation.
- Sufficient colour contrast on body copy and interactive elements.
- Alt text on product imagery and informational graphics.
- Captions or transcripts on key videos (where applicable).
- prefers-reduced-motion support — animations are disabled when the user has set the reduced-motion preference.
- Responsive layout that scales from 320px viewports upward.
04. Known limitations
[VERIFY and update as accessibility audits are performed.]
We are not yet aware of significant unresolved accessibility issues. If you encounter one, please tell us — we treat accessibility issues as bug reports and will prioritise a fix.
05. Third-party content
Our Site is built on Shopify and integrates third-party services (payments, shipping, analytics, marketing). We do our best to choose accessible vendors, but we do not control the accessibility of all third-party content. Please notify us if a third-party feature on the Site is inaccessible to you and we will work with the vendor or find an alternative.
06. Reporting accessibility issues
If you experience an accessibility barrier on the Site, or have a suggestion for improvement, please email contact@anaerobic-coffees.com with subject "Accessibility."
Please include:
- The page or feature where you encountered the issue.
- The assistive technology, browser, or device you were using.
- A description of what didn't work.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and resolve verifiable issues as quickly as possible.
07. Alternative ways to shop or contact us
