Anaerobic Coffees LLC ("Anaerobic," "we," "us"), a New Jersey limited liability company, operates anaerobic-coffees.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

We keep this short and accurate on purpose. We only describe things we actually do.

What we collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you provide one, order history, coffee preferences, account credentials, gift recipient details, and anything you write to us.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment providers. We never see or store your full card number — we receive a token and the last four digits so we can show you your order.

Information collected automatically. IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and similar usage data, through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.

Information from third parties. If you check out with an accelerated checkout such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal, we receive basic details from that provider.

We do not collect sensitive personal information — no government IDs, no health data, no precise geolocation, no biometrics.

Why we use it

  • To take, roast, ship, and support your orders and returns
  • To manage your account, subscription, and payment methods
  • To send transactional messages: order confirmations, shipping updates, subscription and renewal notices
  • To send marketing email, only if you opted in — you can unsubscribe from any of them
  • To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the Site secure
  • To meet legal and tax obligations
  • To understand what's working and improve our coffee, the Site, and our marketing

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with companies that help us run the business, and only for that purpose:

  • Shopify — our e-commerce platform, checkout, and payments
  • Shipping carriers — to deliver your order
  • Our subscription-billing platform — to schedule and bill recurring orders
  • Our email provider — to send transactional and (if you opted in) marketing email
  • Our reviews platform — to collect and display verified customer reviews
  • Our analytics and advertising providers — to understand Site traffic and measure marketing
  • Professional advisers — accountants and lawyers, confidentially
  • Legal authorities — when required by law or valid legal process
  • A buyer — if the business is ever sold or merged, as part of that transaction

Some advertising and analytics activity may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state laws. You can opt out — see below.

Your choices

Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:

  • See what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete it, subject to records we must keep for tax and legal reasons
  • Get a copy in a portable format
  • Opt out of marketing email, at any time, using the unsubscribe link
  • Opt out of data sharing for targeted advertising, using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer

Email contact@anaerobic-coffees.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of data sharing for targeted advertising. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals, because there is no agreed standard for them.

Children

The Site is not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, and rely on Shopify's platform security for payments and storage. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

We keep your information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations — generally seven years for order and tax records — then delete or anonymise it.

Where your information is processed

We operate in the United States, we ship within the United States, and your information is processed in the United States.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows the current version, and we will give notice of material changes on the Site or by email.
