Promotions, Gift Cards & Referral Terms

These terms apply to discount codes, welcome offers, included gifts, gifts tied to order thresholds, gift cards, and our referral programme. They are part of our Terms of Service.

Discount codes and offers

  • One code per order. Codes cannot be combined with each other; if more than one could apply, the larger discount applies.
  • Codes apply only to the products and order type stated, and expire on the date stated. If no date is stated, they expire 12 months after issue.
  • Welcome and first-order offers are for new customers only, limited to one per person, household, shipping address, and payment method.
  • A code applied to the first order of a subscription applies to that order only. Later deliveries are charged at the normal plan price unless the offer says otherwise.
  • Offers do not apply to gift cards, and may exclude limited releases and Reserve lots.
  • We may change, suspend, or withdraw any offer at any time. Orders already placed are honoured.

Included gifts, kits, samples, and threshold gifts

Some offers include a gift — a brewing kit, a sample, an accessory, or a mystery gift unlocked at a stated order value — at no charge.

  • Gifts are limited to one per customer, household, and shipping address, per offer.
  • Gifts have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, returned for credit, or bought separately at the stated value.
  • Where a gift is unlocked by a spend threshold, and a return or cancellation brings the order below that threshold, we may deduct the gift's stated value from your refund or ask for the gift to be returned unused.
  • Where a gift is provided with a subscription, it is provided on the basis that you stay subscribed for the term described when you signed up. If you cancel a prepaid term after the gift has shipped, we may deduct the gift's stated retail value from your refund, or ask you to return it unused. We will always tell you the amount before deducting it.
  • Gifts ship with the delivery stated. If a gift is out of stock we may substitute something of equal or greater value, or credit the stated value.

Referral programme

How it works. When three friends who are genuinely new customers start a subscription that we can attribute to your referral — for example through a referral link we provide, or by naming you when they sign up — and their first orders have shipped and passed our refund window, your next month is on us at the tier above yours (or your own tier, if you are already at the top).

The rules.

  • Referrals must be genuine new customers. You cannot refer yourself — including by using a different email address, name, payment method, or shipping address. Doing so voids the reward and may close your account.
  • Rewards are capped at 4 free deliveries per person per calendar year.
  • Rewards have no cash value, are not transferable, and expire 12 months after they are earned.
  • A referral counts only once the referred order has shipped and is past our refund window. If a referred order is refunded or the subscription is cancelled before its first delivery ships, the referral doesn't count.
  • Don't spam. Posting referral links on coupon sites, forums, paid advertising, or in bulk messages voids your rewards and may close your account.
  • We may withhold or claw back any reward we reasonably believe was obtained through duplicate accounts, false information, or other abuse, and may suspend or close the accounts involved.
  • We may change or end the programme at any time. Rewards already earned will be honoured for 30 days after we announce the end.
  • You are responsible for any tax on rewards you receive.
  • The programme is open to US residents aged 18 and over.

Gift cards

  • Anaerobic gift cards never expire and carry no fees of any kind.
  • Gift cards are redeemable only at anaerobic-coffees.com, for the value shown, in US dollars.
  • Gift cards cannot be used as the recurring payment method for a subscription, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where law requires it. If your remaining balance is under $5, you may ask us to redeem it for cash.
  • Gift cards are not refundable or returnable, and lost or stolen cards can be replaced only where we can verify the purchase and remaining balance.
  • Gift cards are not reloadable and cannot be resold.

Pricing errors

Where an offer, price, or product description is published in error, we may cancel affected orders and refund any amount charged in full. See Section 4 of our Terms of Service.
